Focus Mode and Ledger

A block of work, and a record of it.

Focus Mode turns a mission into a timed block and writes it up across the fleet when you finish. My Day shows everything Atlas itself did.

Focus Mode

⌃⇧F asks for a mission, a length from 15 to 240 minutes in 15-minute steps, and an optional project. A translucent curtain then dims the screen just below the screen-saver level. It is click-through, so the app you are working in stays usable, and the countdown stays visible. ⌃⇧F again ends the block.

What it measures

Keystroke timing feeds two meters over a rolling minute: a steady rhythm reads as flow and an erratic one as fragmentation. Atlas counts keystrokes and the gaps between them. It never records which keys you pressed.

The exit ritual

When the block ends, you rate it and write a completion note. Save then does four things: logs the real elapsed hours to Meridian against the project, checks off the pinned Slate task, posts the leverage record to Fulcrum, and writes a trace span to Chronicle. Meridian has no running timers, so the entry is made at the end, not at the start.

From a note to a post

If the note reads like a finding (240 characters or more, with language like learned, realized, or takeaway), the Bar opens a publish card: a Beacon blog draft in your brand voice, graded for SEO, matched to a Narrative site. Publish is all or nothing: the post, the Fulcrum record, and a draft social post, with everything created removed if any step fails.

My Day

⌘⇧L opens a window with the day's actions: time, feature, model, input, summary, cost, and duration, filterable and refreshed every 30 seconds. The menu bar item shows the day's count and spend. A Genome view lays every Fulcrum project against every day, shading leverage and stippling task count, with the day's records on hover.

Where it is kept

Command history and cost live in a local SQLite file readable only by you. When a Chronicle endpoint is configured, each action is also sent as a trace span.
