Command Bar

Type it, paste it, confirm it.

The Bar is a Spotlight-style panel that does not steal focus from the app you are in. It streams its answers and shows its route. It never writes to a fleet tool without a confirmation.

How the Bar decides

Every line goes through the same three steps, and the Bar's header shows which one it took.

  • Slash command: runs its handler directly.
  • Classified read: the classifier (Claude Haiku when an Anthropic key is present, keyword rules otherwise) can send an allowlisted, no-argument read straight to the tool, for example today's Slate list, the Slate inbox, or upcoming Cadence events.
  • Everything else: streams from Claude Opus with a cached system prompt. Opus does not read fleet data in this build; fleet-aware answers come from the commands and cards below.

Nine slash commands

Nine slash commands
/briefA morning briefing across Cadence, Slate, Envoy, and Docket. A tool that is down shows its error in place and the rest still render.
/task <text>Quick-add a Slate task; dates, areas, and lists in the text are parsed. Confirmed first.
/meet <text>Create a Cadence event from plain language. Confirmed first.
/deal <name>Look up Envoy deals.
/map <person>Chart 90 days of conversations, meetings, notes, and deals with one contact, drawn as a radial map.
/logOpen My Day.
/focusOpen the Focus Mode prompt.
/note <text>Save a Codex page. Confirmed first.
/publish <site> <title>Draft a Narrative post. Confirmed first.

Confirmation, always

A write shows a card with a summary, the tool and operation, and the arguments. ⌘↩ accepts and Esc declines. A card nobody answers expires after 10 minutes. Batches (follow-up drafts, reminders, a publish) create every record or roll every record back, and the card says which.

Cards

  • Flame graph: paste a 32-character trace id, a Chronicle incident id, or a stack trace. Zoom and pan, hover a span for details, and file a defect straight into Docket's Triage column.
  • Relationship map: from /map, with 30, 60, and 90 day rings.
  • Outreach and reminder batches: per-record checkboxes, then one confirmation.
  • Publish draft: an editable post with SEO grade, site picker, and an optional social draft.
  • Link check: opened from the Rail's Audience view.

Suggestions and memory

Suggestion chips come from a frequency, recency, and time-of-day score over your last 180 days of Bar history. ⌘S saves a query and its answer as a Codex page; later queries are matched against saved ones by word overlap and show the closest three.

Cost

Atlas records tokens and cost for every model call. The default daily cap is $5.00. At 80 percent the menu bar item turns orange, and at the cap free-form questions fall back to Haiku. The morning briefing stays on Opus on purpose.
